The leaves, along with the times, they are a changing"
Fall has finally come upon us here in Fairbanks, the temps have dropped, the leaves are changing, and we even had a nip of frost at the house (the garden survived with only a few wilted leaves). This is our last weekend before Clarity starts first grade, and we are all very excited. Clarity has been asking to start school for two weeks now, so lately we have been busy preparing ourselves for the beginning of school and the upcoming darkness.

Clarity organizing her workshop
Michelle found a $5 beater desk at a garage sale and after some stripper, a little elbow grease, and some stain it turned out looking alright. Clarity and I have also been busy building and equipping a workshop area for Clarity in the garage. She’s quite handy and has a list of projects she would like to do this winter (some not completely reasonable but we’ll cross that bridge later). It’s really just an excuse for me to spend more time in the garage ; )

One month at a time
I have our year broken up into month long “blocks” with certain focuses each month. September will begin our exploration of the consonants. We’ll keep you posted as our journey continues, here we come!!
