Down the Hatch!!

Wow, little kids are alot of work!! Actually Marli and Jaelyn did pretty well and I'm looking forward to next summer's adventure with the neices, hopefully we can make it an annual event. In celebration of a successful visit Michelle and I decided to finally try the sample tray at the Sierra Nevada Brewery. This isn't really the most practical way to drink, let's be honest, by the 3rd or 4th glass you can't taste the difference anymore much less even care as another characteristic of the sampler is that you have to drink it fast before the beer gets warm. As a result it may be safer to also make the sampler an annual event.

It's still hot in Chico, although it doesn't really bother us as long as you can stay out of the car. We probably swim 3-4 times a week now in the river and then head to the mountains when we can to mountain bike. The northern California hots springs tour is scheduled for fall, and we're certainly taking reservations.

It's about that time of year when we begin to turn our thoughts to ski season, especially me since my last one sucked. We are hoping for another record snow year in California, and are also scheming a couple out of country ski adventures. If anyone would like to meet up in BC in Feb-Mar let us know, we want to go on another backcountry lodge trip.
