Happy May.   May Day in Alaska is different than the May Days you might be more failiar with. Our flowers are still hiding in the earth waiting for the first real hints of summer.  While the snow on the ground is gone, we had snow snow and more snow on May Day.  It was fun to watch all of the children dressed in long underwear, hats and gloves dancing around the May Pole.
